Carey was a fashion model. She is 5'10" tall, and was well-liked by high-end American designers, such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren as well as others. Her father is a renowned scientist who was named Scientist of the Year back in 1979 at the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey has lived across the globe as a result his career. While she attended in the University of Colorado, Carey started modeling for a side. The Ford's model agency in New York noticed her and was willing to assist. Following her move to France in the summer of 1999, where she resided at Paris, Bordeaux and New York and then New York, she made the decision that she would return home to New York and continue her training. Soon, Vogue, Glamour and other magazines included her on the covers. In between her modeling assignments she was a full-time student obtaining a major in literature at New York University. Gradually she became interested in acting and attended the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. She had a small part in Club Paradise with Robin Williams, in 1986. She enjoys rock climbing ski, windsurfing, and skiing.
